HABC - Level 3 Award in First Aid at Work
Duration: 3 Days including exams
Delegates will be continually assessed throughout the duration of the course, with successful Delegates receiving a Level 3 First Aid at Work certificate. This is valid for a period of 3 years and can be renewed by attending a 2 day Level 3 First Aid at Work Requalification course.
This three day first aid at work course is for people intending to act as a First Aider at Work. The course is designed to provide the First Aider with the skills necessary to give effective life support, diagnose and treat injuries or illness, and maintain care and comfort of the casualty. It is ideal for those already working or preparing to work within industry wishing to become a First Aider in the workplace for the purposes of the Health and Safety (First Aid) Regulations 1981 and the Health and Safety (First Aid) Regulations (NI) 1982.
This course equips Delegates with the vital skills necessary to diagnose and treat injuries or illness. The emphasis on dealing with life threatening situations until professional help arrives.
The courses are fun and memorable. This ensures that delegates leave with the vital life saving skills needed to deal with the wide range of situations that could arise in the workplace.
The delegates, as first aiders will receive a recognised qualification.
Guidelines now state that employers should ensure that all qualified first aiders remain competent to perform their role. It is recommended that first aiders attend annual refresher training.
